Biografi
Dr Kai Sievert finished his PhD at the University of Göttingen, Germany, in 1993. Although fascinated by arthropods and especially vector borne diseases, the topic of his thesis was medical microbiology, focusing on human Papillomaviruses. His first job brought him to Bayer Leverkusen where he started in Central Research working on several topics of human diagnostics, fungicides and eventually on arthropods as house hold pests. In this position, he led the Biological Product Development Laboratories in Monheim. Later, he moved to Novartis Animal Health where he first headed the Insecticide Development Laboratory in Basel before he transitioned to Global Technical Services Manager for Bioprotection, where he focused on farm pests such as flies, mites but also rodents and disinfectants in animal production.
Since 2014, Dr Kai Sievert has joined Syngenta PPM as Technical Services Manager for Europe, Africa, and Middle East as well as for the Malaria business in Sub-Saharan Africa.

As a medical entomologist, Dr Kai Sievert is a great asset to the Syngenta PPM team in EAME.
